The Role:

As a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and in accordance with primary health care principles, the Diversional Therapist will:

1. Assist in the planning, delivery and evaluation of quality diversional therapy activities for a specified client group within a community health care setting.
2. Promote access and client involvement by participating in applicable community-based activities.

The Team:

Flinders Island Multipurpose Centre, Tasmanian Health Service, Primary Health North

- The Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre comprises nine aged care beds, five acute beds, an outpatient and emergency service, physiotherapy, x-ray, podiatry/footcare and visiting services.
- It is one of 8 district hospitals working together to form part of Primary Health North Tasmania.
- The FIMPC offers health and community services to the island community of approximately 900 people.

You will need:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as a member of our multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in working with aged people and people living with dementia.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary:

$67,193 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- District Allowances of up to $4,618 per annum for a family.
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%.
