About the role

Newborn Services Joan Kirner Women's & Children's are seeking a Part-Time Clinical Support Nurse to support and mentor nursing staff in the clinical learning environment.

The Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) will provide direct expert clinical support and leadership to all nurses. The CSN will encourage a positive learning environment, ensuring that support is aimed at the constant improvement of care for neonates and their families whilst increasing the skills and current nursing knowledge of nurses to be able to deliver best care.

Applicants must have a postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience in acute care settings and advanced clinical knowledge in this specialty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and applicants must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary, nursing and education teams.
