Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland provides high-quality provision of care to families across the Diocese of Townsville. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens, and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.
About the position: St Mary MacKillop Early Learning Centre, Mount Isa provides a strong foundation for children's social and educational development in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. Our programs are thoughtfully designed around each child's interests and developmental needs, with a focus on continually building their skills and confidence.
We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Kindergarten Teacher to join our team as soon as practical for Term 4 on a full-time, fixed-term basis. This role operates from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and includes one full day of non-contact time per week.
As the Kindergarten Teacher, you will provide high-quality care and education that supports children’s developmental and educational needs. You will take a hands-on approach to learning and work in close partnership with families and community stakeholders to foster a supportive and enriching early learning experience.
Responsibilities and Requirements
What you’ll need to succeed:
- ACECQA approved qualifications in Teaching/Early Childhood Education or near completion
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration (if applicable)
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid Certificate Including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis or ability to obtain before commencement
- Ability to pass a National Criminal History Check
- Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework and My Time Our Place Framework
- Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
