Period of employment / Hours:
Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP for a period of 2 years.

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
Under the general direction of the Manager Communications and Media, the Senior Communications Consultant is responsible for external and internal communications services for Homes Tasmania, including the More Homes Initiative.
- Support the achievement of positive outcomes for Tasmanians by working collaboratively across all Homes Tasmania’s business units and with external stakeholders.
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Deliver accurate, accessible communications using contemporary communications methods targeted to the identified audience.
- Help build Homes Tasmania’s social licence by stakeholder engagement and consultation.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes::
- High level, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills including the ability to develop and contribute to Homes Tasmania’s initiatives, strategies, andissues management in the context of human services and infrastructuredevelopment.
- Highly developed written communication skills, including the capacity to use a broad range of technology to produce quality documents in a variety of communication formats and presentation styles.
- Well-developed understanding of media and newsworthiness and the ability to translate policy and program strategies and activities into positive media opportunities.
