Key Responsibilities

- Set up ladders, and lay down protective sheets to shield nearby surfaces from paint splashes.

- Prepare work areas by stripping old paint or wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling in cracks and holes, and sanding and sealing surfaces for a smooth finish.

- Mix paints to the desired colour by combining pigments, oils, thinners, and drying agents.

- Apply paint, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.

- Install wallpaper, ensuring patterns are aligned and edges are neatly trimmed.

- Clean tools and work areas after completing the job.

- May carry out minor window repairs and replace broken glass in wooden or metal frames.

Job Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial painting

- Completion of Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification

- Skilled in surface preparation, paint mixing, and applying finishes using brushes, rollers, and sprayers

- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or as part of a team
