- Deliver projects that create benefit for the sector
- Hit the ground running in this newly created role
- Collaborative, flexible team environment
Looking to work on interesting and challenging projects that benefit the sector as part of a dynamic service-oriented environment?
Public Skills Australia is an Australian Government initiative established to provide services that support skilled and robust public safety and government workforces. It provides consultation to inform workforce planning and training product development to meet industry and policy needs; implementation, promotion and monitoring of strategies that drive improvement of training delivery; and stewardship of intelligence relating to workforce challenges and skill needs.
This newly created position forms part of a tight-knit, energised team and reports to the Manager VET Projects. It has responsibility for supporting an initial key project, working in collaboration with contractors on analysis and interpretation of research, stakeholder consultation, report drafting, facilitation of technical committee meetings and presenting high quality reports to internal and external stakeholders up to executive level.
With a passion for genuinely making a difference to an organisation’s success, you bring relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in delivering research projects relevant to vocational education and training, workforce planning or labour market research. Ideally this experience will have been gained within service-focused VET environments in public safety, not-for-profits or government. Your strengths in dealing with diverse stakeholder groups, well-developed communication, influencing and resilience and the desire to deliver high quality outcomes as part of a team will guarantee your success. The role will be for an initial contract through until 30 June 2026. Sound like you?
