About the Firm

Our client is a leading global law firm with a major Melbourne CBD office, appointed to government panels and ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers for dispute resolution. The Insurance Litigation team defends public authorities, community service organisations and state entities in high-stakes public liability and institutional abuse cases.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Oversee and strategise on a portfolio of complex public liability and institutional abuse matters.

- Draft strategic submissions, liability advices and court documents.

- Lead negotiations with insurers, regulators and counsel across jurisdictions.

- Mentor junior staff and represent the practice in firm committees.

What You’ll Bring

- Admission to practice in Victoria with 4+ yrs PQE in insurance or commercial litigation.

- Proven track record in public liability, personal injury or institutional abuse claims.

- Strong commercial acumen, advocacy and problem-solving skills.

- High level of integrity, client-service orientation and teamwork.
