Accountable to the Manager, Occupational therapy department, and relevant Grade 3 Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist, the Grade 2 Occupational Therapist is responsible for contributing to the development, implementation and delivery of a high quality occupational therapy service to inpatients within the multidisciplinary team at SVHM. It is an expectation that there is a demonstration of evidence based practice in the assessment and implementation of Occupational therapy with this patient demographic.**SELECTION CRITERIA ESSENTIAL REGISTRATION, LICENSE OR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS** Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent AHPRA Occupational therapy Registration (and Eligibility for membership to Australian Occupational therapy Association) Current Victorian motor vehicle license Satisfactory National Police check**OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS** Experience working in the acute and subacute health care settings A keen interest & working knowledge of occupational therapy intervention to patients in the acute, aged care and rehabilitation settings. Highly competent in a variety of standardised occupational therapy assessment & treatment modalities Demonstration of the ability to work autonomously and flexibly. Experience in a wide range of medical conditions Demonstration & knowledge of evidence based practice Ability to work autonomously & demonstration of positive team work principles Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team Superior written and verbal communication skills & effective clinical hand over processes Knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement**OTHER NON ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS** Relevant postgraduate courses in areas in relation to Occupational Therapy or Health Services Management.
