Clinical Nurse - Palliative & Geriatrics Job no: JR106582 Work type: Permanent Location: John Flynn Private Hospital Categories: Nursing - Registered John Flynn Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our supportive team in Medical Ward 6B. In this role, you will provide day-to-day clinical leadership, mentor and support colleagues in their professional development, and contribute to problem-solving and procurement within the ward. This permanent part-time position is 60 hours per fortnight, with the option to take on additional clinical hours if desired. You will care for a diverse and rewarding patient caseload and work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager as a trusted resource, mentor, and role model for your colleagues while delivering specialised, high-quality care. About You You are a dedicated, patient-focused nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also bring: - Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in palliative care and geriatrics. - Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or willingness to work towards them). - Strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills. - Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Remuneration: An hourly base rate of $54.72 – $58.82 + superannuation (dependent on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties and allowances) applies under the QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 (Gr 1–4).
