Job Description

We’re expanding our North Perth Positive Behaviour Support team and are excited to welcome passionate graduates ready to launch their careers as Behaviour Support Practitioners. With full training, structured development, and a warm, collaborative team environment, you’ll be supported every step of the way as you make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families across our community.

Successful candidates will be providing supports to NDIS participants living in theNorth Perth Region.

Responsibilitieswill include:

- Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.

- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.

- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.

- Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.

- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.

- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Qualifications

- Completed a degree level qualification as an allied health professional is desired.

- Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.

- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.

- Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
