
Queensland Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, with responsibility for overseeing potential new location launches and managing our existing key spaces, you will drive initiatives that align with Sparrow Coffee's core principles and support the General Manager in any future growth.
Some of the main responsibilities include:
- Optimise operational strategies, enhancing both customer experience and commercial outcomes;
- Build industry connections to stay current with trends and innovation, ensuring Sparrow Coffee remains a leader in the space. This includes the review and process of applicant resumes and applications through to conducting interviews and making recommendations for appointment;
- Recruit, train, and manage the team across Queensland;
- Support and coach staff to build capability and achieve strategic and operational goals;
- Deliver the Sparrow Coffee hospitality experience consistently, measured through sales and customer satisfaction metrics;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in areas like inventory management, payment systems, procurement, and operational efficiency;
- Meet financial targets by enhancing forecasting accuracy and analysing performance drivers;
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and employment regulations, including training; working in collaboration with the General Manager in delivery of the above
Main requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of experience in hospitality operations or multi-site management;
- Strong knowledge of specialty coffee and the hospitality industry;
- Experience managing back end of POS systems and related hospitality IT;
- A proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives in a hospitality setting;
- Strong commercial acumen with experience interpreting P&Ls, and consistent delivery of budgeted & stretch targets;
- Strong leadership skills, including experience managing medium to large teams;
- Project management experience is advantageous, particularly with new location launches;
- Proven ability to create and implement standard operating procedures that enhance business and customer outcomes;
- Ability to lead and inspire a culture committed to service excellence and innovation;
- Proven ability to work independently and under limited supervision and to be accountable for individual performance in a fast-paced environment whilst working as part of a team;
- Hold a current recognised first aid qualification (such as a certificate from the St John Ambulance or similar body);
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers' licence.
Salary offered - $70k to $80k
