The Technology and Information Management team maintain Comcare’s Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) infrastructure and provide strategic leadership, governance, solutions and advice for the effective management of information.

Overview of the Role

This position will play a pivotal role in the creation and maintenance of our advanced Azure DevSecOps/DataOps platforms. The position will have a deep understanding of cloud-based technologies and a commitment to continuous learning. The ETL Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing robust data ingestion pipelines, ensuring their successful deployment to production environments. Collaboration with stakeholders is key to tailor solutions that are not only effective but also scalable and adaptable to future needs. Staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in DevSecOps and DataOps will be essential for maintaining the integrity and advancement of our systems. The position will assist with the technical development, implementation and maintenance of Comcare’s DevSecOps and DataOps platforms, and will also mentor junior staff and assist in their development.

Qualifications and Experience

- Mandatory: Recent advanced experience (4+ years) in DevOps, data ingestion pipelines, or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Recent and relevant experience with monitoring tools is highly regarded, but not mandatory.

Eligibility and Specific Conditions of Employment

- Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
- Employee Health Declaration.
- Six months probationary period for new engagements.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Specific Conditions:

- Participate in an after-hours on-call roster (where operational necessities dictate).
