Overview
TP Human Capital is partnering with a respected government client in Townsville to recruit a capable and detail-oriented Business Support Officer. This role is available on a contract basis until September 2025, offering a competitive hourly pay rate ranging from $45 to $47, depending on experience. The Business Support Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial and procurement processes within the organisation. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and able to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with internal procurement policies.
- Manage finance and procurement activities including:
- Raising requisitions
- Billing and invoicing
- Receipting and purchasing
- Contract and order management
- Travel bookings and expense processing
- Receive stock and match invoices against deliveries and purchase orders.
- Process financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee the management of consumables, including:
- Inventory control
- Order forecasting and placement
- Stocktaking and reporting
- Usage tracking and budget alignment
Key Requirements
- Prior experience in a similar administrative, finance, or procurement support role.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
