Salary is negotiable depending on experience and session commitments, and Tier 2 sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job

- Provide high-quality care through consultations, examinations, and treatment or referral.

- Manage both routine and urgent appointments, including telephone/video consultations and occasional home visits.

- Support patients with long-term conditions and chronic disease management.

- Prescribe safely and appropriately in line with guidance.

- Keep clear, accurate and timely clinical records.

- Work with the wider practice team to deliver safe, effective care.

- Contribute to QOF, enhanced services, and practice targets.

- Take part in meetings, audits, and ongoing professional development.

- Safeguard vulnerable patients in line with policy.

Job responsibilities

Step into a role where every day brings something new. You’ll deliver top-notch general medical services as part of the GMS contract, seeing patients face-to-face, over the phone, and even making the occasional home visit when needed. Whether it’s managing long-term conditions or dealing with sudden health concerns, you’ll be right at the heart of patient care, making a real difference.

- Carrying out clinical procedures (within your comfort zone, of course)

- Reviewing pathology and hospital letters

- Keeping records up-to-date using SystemOne

- Following trusted clinical guidelines like NICE

- You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that includes GPs, nurses, allied health pros, and admin staff. We value collaboration, open communication, and a few good laughs along the way.

Qualifications

- Medical degree recognised by the GMC.

- Full GMS registration with licence to practice.

- Completion of GP specialty training.

- Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP)

- Inclusion on the NHS England medical performers list

- Experience in primary care.

- Additional clinical interest

- Teaching / mentoring experience
