Council of the City of Sydney, Australia The GPT Group Full time

We shape leading experiences across office, retail, logistics and student accommodation.

We’re one of Australia’s largest property groups, managing $35 billion worth of assets across the country.

Our sustainable returns from investments come from focusing on what matters most to customers — a great experience and doing good. Every day, our people are driving positive impact for people, place and planet. They’re inquisitive, pioneering industry firsts and pushing new ideas to deliver exceptional outcomes.

This passion and expertise creates an employee experience that puts wellbeing, flexibility and opportunity first.

The role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented FP&A Manager to join our Group Finance team. In this role, you will support the Group’s budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, while playing a key part in driving strategic decision-making across the business.

As a Senior Analyst, you will provide high-quality analytical support and commercial insights that guide leadership in making informed business decisions. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the Group to contribute to Investment Committee (IC) papers, evaluate strategic initiatives, and support a range of projects that impact business performance and long-term growth.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to apply their analytical skills to influence business strategy and performance.

What you will be doing

The principal tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

- Preparing forecast and budget deliverables
- Actively managing relationships with Asset and Funds Finance, GMH, Group Finance, Treasury, Fund Analysts and Managers and CFO to ensure timely and accurate information for forecasts and budgets
- Assisting in identifying key drivers, risks and opportunities in financial forecasts
- Reviewing, advise and input on IC transaction papers as part of the FP&A review and sign-off
- Performing Group & Fund financial modelling & scenario analysis including capital requirements, earnings drivers, transaction impacts, developments and other strategic initiatives
- Preparing analysis for ad-hoc business requirements and requests

What makes you stand out

You will hold a Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree and bring strong relationship-building and communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business. Your high level of commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making will be an asset.

Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, enabling you to analyse complex data sets and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning processes with confidence and accuracy.

While not essential, experience in the property industry is highly regarded, as is the completion of a CA or CFA qualification, which would further support their technical expertise and understanding of financial principles in a commercial environment.

- Enjoy flexible working arrangements and generous leave options.
- Experience market-leading parental leave benefits including 22 weeks paid leave for either carer and childcare allowance once you return to work.
- Embrace diverse and challenging career opportunities, supported by our dedicated Learning & Development Team committed to your growth.
- Engage in comprehensive Wellbeing programs and benefit from market-leading policies and support tailored to diverse needs.
- Be recognised by peers through nomination awards and take part in our generous Employee Referral Program.
