FinXL IT is seeking a motivated junior Java Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a major financial services organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career by working on medium to complex applications within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain back-end services using Java and SpringBoot

- Implement API-based integrations for modern systems

- Write efficient, maintainable code following design patterns and best practices

- Collaborate with internal teams to deploy and manage applications

- Author complex SQL queries and perform database schema design (DDL)
- Apply security best practices in software development

- Operate comfortably in Linux/Unix environments

What We're Looking For

- Solid commercial experience with Java and SpringBoot
- Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
- Problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn

What's On Offer?

- Initial 12 months contract, with a view to extend
- Located in Sydney CBD
- Hybrid working arrangements to get your best work done (3 days in office and 2 days remote)
