FinXL is partnering with a prominent client in the Banking sector to bring an experienced Java Engineer onsite to work on applications within the financial crime and compliance technology landscape. This is a 12-months assigment based in Sydney CBD (hybrid with 3 days per week in the office).

Key Deliverables

  • Develop and maintain robust applications using Core and Enterprise Java, leveraging various Spring frameworks (MVC, Security, Batch).
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and contribute to a Microservices architecture.
  • Engage with RDBMS, SQL, JPA, and Hibernate for efficient data management.
  • Work with Big Data technologies including Cloudera, Apache Spark, and Hadoop for data processing and analysis.
  • Contribute to extending CI/CD and DevOps capabilities, focusing on monitoring, testing, and deployment automation.

Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Java Engineer with expertise in Core and Enterprise Java.
  • Proficiency with Spring frameworks, including MVC, Security, and Batch.
  • Demonstrated experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS, SQL, JPA, and Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies such as Cloudera, Apache Spark, and Hadoop preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a DevOps mindset.
