About the Role
Shadbolt Group is seeking a Project Engineer – Structural & Infrastructure to join our Energy & Infrastructure division on a short-term contract (October 2025 – January 2026). Based in Brisbane, this role is perfect for an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on, client-facing position and can lead project delivery from planning through to execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide technical expertise on structural and infrastructure works.
- Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Oversee quality control, reporting, and project documentation.
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering (Structural, Civil, Mechanical, or related).
- 5+ years’ experience in project engineering within construction, infrastructure, or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and construction practices.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and teams.
- Experience in Defence, maritime, energy, or infrastructure sectors (highly regarded).
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or Engineers Australia membership (preferred).
