The Role: Senior Development Manager

As a Senior Development Manager, you’ll lead the planning, feasibility, design, approvals and delivery of new developments and value‑add projects across our portfolio. You will be accountable for the commercial, design, and delivery performance of your projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, on budget and aligned to Levande’s cashflow and profit return benchmarks.

A key leadership role within the Development team, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders and play an important part in mentoring Development Managers and Assistant Development Managers, building a strong, capability‑led, high‑performance culture.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare and manage feasibility studies, cashflows, development budgets and program timelines.

- Drive profit centre performance by delivering project(s) within approved cashflow, profitability and return benchmarks.

- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, risk assessment, contract administration and monthly project reviews.

- Oversee design development, planning approvals, procurement, contract management and construction delivery.

- Use feasibility modelling tools (Estate Master or equivalent) to analyse and optimise project outcomes.

- Proactively identify, assess and mitigate project risks to maintain delivery momentum and ensure commercial success.

- Ensure HSE and sustainability measures are embedded across all project stages.

- Champion cross‑discipline collaboration to maximise project performance and competitiveness.

- Support marketing and sales activities, contributing to product positioning, market insights and value‑creation opportunities.

- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including consultants, partners, authorities and internal leadership.

- Lead, coach and mentor team members, building capability, engagement and a high‑performance development culture.

What We’re Looking For

- Extensive experience in property development, including apartments or built‑form projects, with proven success delivering multiple complex projects.

- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage development and operating expenditure, cashflow performance, risks and opportunities.

- Experience using Estate Master or equivalent feasibility modelling tools.

- Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and influence across functions.

- Strong stakeholder engagement capability and the ability to work in fast‑paced, complex environments.

- Background in construction, design or customer‑focused environments is beneficial.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Property, Construction, Engineering, Architecture or similar is highly desirable.
