This is a locum full-time position available at our practice in Burnett Heads, Queensland.
About the PositionWe are seeking a skilled general practitioner to join our team for a period of approximately 6 weeks, commencing on March 3rd, 2025 and concluding on April 25th, 2025. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Practice InformationOur practice is a bulk billing, solo operation that has recently opened its doors to serve the Burnett Heads community. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality medical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
- Conduct patient consultations for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Perform routine health checks and screenings (e.g., blood pressure, diabetes, skin checks).
- Prescribe medications and provide treatment plans.
- Manage chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma.
- Provide preventative care such as vaccinations and lifestyle advice.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- MBBS, FRACGP qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to diagnose and manage a broad range of conditions.
- Knowledge of prescribing medications and treatment guidelines.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with nurses and allied health professionals.
$1,500 + GST per day.
Other InclusionsMileage/flights and accommodation will be provided.
