You will play a key role in building the culture of our new team.**About the role**You will maintain and enhance outdoor green spaces at Defence bases by sowing, planting, and cultivating a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs.Your key responsibilities will include:* Maintaining green spaces and flower beds.* Preparing garden beds and raising seedlings.* Weeding, trimming and pruning plants.* Designing gardens and choosing plants.* Managing irrigation systems.* Applying pesticides and fertilisers.* Sowing and propagating plants, trees, shrubs, flowers and bushes.* Mowing lawns and operating gardening equipment.* Prioritising tasks and managing seasonal workloads efficiently.* Interacting professionally with staff, contractors, and the public.**About you**Our ideal candidate will have:* Knowledge of turf care, irrigation, pruning, and pest control.* Confident using ride-on mowers, blowers, trimmers, and other tools.* Ability to identify and fix minor structural or landscape issues.* Understanding of OH&S practices and safe chemical handling.You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.**How to apply**Please submit your interest with the apply button where you will be directed to create a profile on our system.
