SAP BTP Technical Architect

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP BTP Solution Architect / Senior Consultant to play a pivotal role in shaping, delivering, and optimising SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions. This role is ideal for a professional who combines strategic advisory capability with hands-on technical expertise.

The role is a 12 month contract paying $560 per day plus super. Unfortunately our client cannot sponsor and as such please only apply if you have full work rights.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the design and delivery of scalable, modular, and cloud-native applications using CAPM with Node.js, Java, and SQL.

- Provide strategic direction on SAP BTP architecture, design, and implementation, aligning to clean core principles.

- Lead and support SAP BTP activities including CAPM, Build Work Zone, Mobile Start, and MDK.

- Define and enforce architecture governance standards, best practices, and development guidelines for BTP projects.

- Conduct technical reviews, performance tuning, and security assessments to ensure optimal system performance.

- Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.

- Perform design and code reviews, unit testing, integration, and UAT support.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.

- Stay ahead of the curve by adopting the latest SAP technologies and BTP innovations.

- Provide mentorship and upskilling to internal teams, including developing and delivering training materials.

- Contribute to business growth by identifying and driving new opportunities in the BTP space.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 8+ years of SAP development experience, including at least 2 years in CAPM.

- Strong understanding of SAP clean core principles.

- Blend of advisory expertise and hands-on delivery.

- Proven experience in Fiori/UI5 development and integration.

- Knowledge of at least one functional module such as SD, MM, FICO, EAM, PS, ISU.

- Expertise in Fiori, BTP, and 3rd-party integrations.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

- SAP certifications (e.g. SAP Certified Development Associate - CAPM, SAP Certified Professional - Solution Architect - BTP) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

- Broad expertise spanning Cloud Application Programming, Full Stack Development, Fiori Development, and JavaScript.

- End-to-end capability - from concept to code - with a proven track record of delivering innovative SAP solutions.
