Overview

Aircraft Maintenance Technicians required, explore exciting opportunities based in Australia. Permanent positions available in all ports in Australia with sponsorship and relocation assistance provided for eligible candidates and immediate family members.

Salary will be dependent on experience - Level 8 - 13 Trades as per the Qantas Airways Limited (AWU AMWU CEPU) Enterprise Agreement 11.

Responsibilities

- As a Qantas Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), maintain aircraft to high standards in a safety-focused, quality-driven environment.
- Engine and Component Maintenance Services – Engine Shop: remove and install quick engine change and line replaceable components; manage storage of engine assets; rectify engine-related repairs for Qantas Group and customer airlines per manufacturer/company specifications.
- Oxygen & Evacuation Systems: repair, overhaul and maintenance of evacuation equipment including slides, reservoirs and gas generators for Qantas Group and customer airlines.
- Wheel and Brakes: overhaul and repair wheels and brakes; disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly and testing of components.

What You’ll Have

- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical/Avionics/Structures) or allied trade qualification or Australian recognised equivalent qualification
- Ownership and driven outcomes to meet business requirements
- Compliance with all safe working practices and service standards
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of maintenance procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to being customer focused with flexibility to undertake other reasonable duties as required
- Aviation experience and familiarity with regulatory requirements
- Highly developed attention to detail
