Overview

Senior Technical Operator - Industrial is a permanent, full-time role within the Allflex production team. Location: Australia, Queensland, Murarrie. On-site with a supportive, collaborative team. Shift Hours: 6:00am to 2:00pm (level of flexibility required).

Role Type: Supervisory technical role assisting the Team Leader with leadership responsibilities, process improvement, and broad operational oversight.

Become a key player in our Allflex production team. In this supervisory role, you will assist the Team Leader by taking on leadership duties, driving process improvements, and overseeing daily operations. This position is ideal for experienced candidates eager to lead continuous improvement efforts.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supervise shift operations in a small team fabricating electronic RFID readers
- Monitor and support factory performance, machinery operation, and quality inspection
- Troubleshoot machinery and respond promptly to operator requests
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning
- Promote production KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, and waste reduction
- Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental Health & Safety policies and proactively report hazards
- Assist the Team Leader with task planning and technician support
- Complete production reports and maintain clear communication and records
- Maintain production area tidiness aligned with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles
- Raise maintenance issues promptly and monitor product quality, isolating defects
- Report disruptions and recommend improvements to procedures, machinery, and training
- Lead improvement initiatives and support performance management and training
- Assist with BOM maintenance, assembly work orders, and product serial management

What You Must Have

- Experience managing teams in production preferred but not essential (full training provided)
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and PC proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Emotional intelligence, empathy, resilience, and adaptability
- Ability to collaborate across teams and demonstrate inclusive behaviours
- High ethical standards and responsible use of company assets
