(Urgent Search) Retail Manager

About the role

We seek to appoint a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to this position (Tuesday to Friday – 30 hours per week for 48 working weeks). This role will be responsible for managing the daily operations of 4 retail outlets (2 uniform shops, print and book room and Timbertop Hike store) also the sewing and laundry room. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will commence on 11 January 2026.

An opportunity exists for a retail professional to take on a role which encompasses end to end Retail management responsibilities, including delivery of Financial targets, buying and merchandising for four Campuses

Key responsibilities

- Delivery of an Exceptional service experience for all community members purchasing uniform, the Uniform shop often being the first point of contact with the School.

- Making purchasing decisions which ensure compliance with the School’s Sustainability commitments

- Managing supplier selection, relationships, negotiations, purchasing and stock levels

- Collaborating with the Academic Office and managing and coordinating the supply of books and stationery

- Researching, selecting, and purchasing fit for purpose, quality products.

- Managing and setting budgets, setting prices and managing overall delivery of financial targets.

- Managing relevant sales and financial systems.

- Managing a team of staff - hire, train and develop employees.

- Collaborating with the Uniform Committee to develop a timeless uniform with processes in place for change.

About you

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Extensive professional experience in Retail.

- Current Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Check

- A track record of outstanding management of day-to-day retail operations, including management of human resources and delivery of financial goals.

- A motivated leader who thrives on creating and sustaining a climate of excellence, inclusion, trust, and productivity.

- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry trends

- Thorough understanding of relevant compliance requirements

- Store Management experience
