Rydges South Bank is a highly-regarded 4.5 star, award-winning hotel boasting 304 rooms and suites, multiple food and beverage outlets, and conferencing facilities. The hotel is located on Grey Street in South Bank neighbouring the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Groups Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Front Office or Reservations looking to take the next step into the commercial side of hotel operations. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of in-house group accommodation, from initial enquiry to post-stay reconciliation; ensuring a smooth, professional, and memorable experience for our clients and guests.

Working closely with the Sales and Operations teams, you will play a key role in driving group business, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting the hotel’s revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all group accommodation enquiries, bookings, and communications with precision and efficiency.
- Coordinate group blocks from contract stage through to final invoicing and account settlement.
- Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure group requirements and special requests are accurately actioned.
- Prepare and maintain group manifests, rooming lists, and related documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Operations to optimise occupancy and revenue opportunities.
- Provide on-the-ground support during major group arrivals and peak check-in periods.
- Handle guest or client issues promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room types, rates, packages, and hotel offerings to upsell effectively.

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in Hotel Front Office or Reservations essential.
- Working knowledge of Opera Cloud and iVvy (or similar PMS/CRM systems).
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence.
