Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.
We are looking for a Social Value Manager to join our infrastructure team in Wintringham, St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. The purpose of the role is to develop and deliver a strategic and impactful external social value programme in the East region for the A428 improvement scheme, which will bring a new 10-mile dual carriageway. This scheme will transform one of the busiest road links in the East of England, helping drivers who live, work and travel in and around the surrounding areas to have a better and smoother journey.
What you'll do:
- Identify strategic opportunities to deliver social value activities and work with the DIP partners and STEM Point East. This includes developing and delivering an annual STEM strategy across local schools and colleges.
- Analyse the level of impact of each activity and plan and structure a campaign along the timeline of the A428 project.
- Drive engagement by recruiting STEM Ambassadors, coordinating outreach, placements and work experience.
- Work with National Highways Legacy Lead to apply for any employment and skills funding needed via the A428 Social Value fund.
- To support the Head of Integration & Social Value with presenting and sharing best practice in E&S at various forums like the Regional Centre of Excellence and providing monthly updates to PEG (Project Exec Group).
- Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion and work closely with the EDI Manager.
- Input into the NH Social Value Tool quarterly and work with the internal data team to create dashboards to evidence the social value delivery and output.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Experience of developing and delivering social value programmes with an EDI focus.
- Experience of identifying and obtaining funding from external sources.
- Experience of developing positive internal and external relationships at all levels.
- Hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification.
