If you are, this may be the role for you The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is seeking an experienced and high performing candidate to fill the role of Project Officer. Our ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience providing secretariat support and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Proficiency in grant management systems and Microsoft 365 is highly desirable, along with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities - Draft and review policies, briefings and correspondence for the Investigator and Synergy Grant schemes. - Provide timely and accurate advice to NHMRC officers, peer reviewers, and Research Administration Officers on peer review and grant management policies and processes, in line with guidelines and legislation. - Support planning, analysis and delivery of the Investigator and Synergy Grant schemes. - Provide secretariat support to a large group of peer reviewers, including managing inboxes and communicating through written and verbal communication such as emails, calls and external Q&A sessions. - Use NHMRC’s grant management systems and databases to accurately and efficiently facilitate grant opportunities, assessments and ongoing management. - Extract and interpret data from NHMRC’s grant management system and reporting platform (PowerBi) to contribute to membership and funding recommendation processes. - Contribute to reporting, evaluation and continuous improvement activities.
