ROLE SUMMARY

As one of the newest members of our co-educational, non-denominational, independent school network, Reddam House North Shore continues the tradition of inspiring students to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. Our unique philosophy balances academic rigour with cultural and sporting endeavours. Our state-of-the-art, 'urban vertical school' stands proudly on an eight-storey property. Here, Reddam House/'s legacy of academic prowess merges with the global best practices of the Inspired Education Group, within the heritage architecture of Harry Seidler, creating the foundations for excellence, right in the heart of North Sydney.

Due to increasing enrolments and expansion, we are seeking passionate and experienced Instrumental Music Specialists and Ensemble Conductors to join our music department. This exciting opportunity builds on the established success of our programme, with a collaborative approach to music education that balances academic excellence with artistic achievement. Our music department plays a central role in delivering the very best in music pedagogy and performance, engaging students throughout both Primary and High School.

You will help shape a flourishing music program while benefiting from the established practices and renowned excellence of Reddam House/'s performing arts program.

We currently have positions available at Reddam North Shore (North Sydney) and Reddam Sydney (Woollahra/Bondi)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are inviting expressions of interest for teachers of all instruments and conductors for a range of ensembles.

Instrumental Teachers

- Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass

- Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Lower Brass

- Voice (Singing)

- Percussion: Drums and Orchestral Percussion

- Guitar

- Orff Percussion Ensembles

- Rock Bands

We are looking for experienced professionals who are dedicated to inspiring students and enhancing their musical skills through individual lessons and ensemble direction.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

- Proven expertise in instrumental/vocal teaching and ensemble direction

- A passion for music education and nurturing student talent

- Experience working with students of various age groups (both primary and high school)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

- Organisational and administrative abilities to effectively manage lesson schedules, ensemble rehearsals, and student progress

- A commitment to staying current with the latest developments in music teaching practices and pedagogy

- High-level performance skills and the ability to inspire excellence in students

- A commitment to delivering high-quality education and artistic development

- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)

- Classroom teaching qualifications are not required
