This role will work a 5/2 roster from the Sydney office, travel required to our operations and Brisbane office.

About the Role

In this senior leadership position that reports to the CFO, you will provide strategic guidance and specialist commercial support across the business. As General Manager - Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our commercial strategy, while ensuring alignment with our broader business objectives.

You will act as the primary finance and commercial business partner to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Technical Officer (CTO), while influencing multi-disciplinary teams and work closely with site and functional teams. Your portfolio spans financial planning (including budget and life-of-mine processes), procurement, insurance, management reporting and analysis, and oversight of metal concentrate sales and marketing activities.

In this role, you will:

- Lead a high-performing team that drives value across the business and unlocks operational excellence.

- Provide strategic commercial advice and insights to support capital allocation and long-term planning.

- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and standards for commercial processes.

- Champion continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation in systems and practices.

- Represent the commercial function at the executive level, preparing reports and presentations for the Leadership Team and Board.

- Support growth projects, corporate development initiatives, and financial due diligence for acquisitions and disposals.

About You

You are a seasoned commercial leader with a strong track record of delivering strategic outcomes in complex, dynamic environments. You thrive on collaboration, influencing at all levels, and translating strategy into actionable results.

You bring:

- A degree in Finance, Business, or Engineering, with additional qualifications such as an MBA or Chartered Accountant highly regarded.

- 10+ years’ experience in the mining industry at both operational and corporate levels.

- Extensive leadership experience (10+ years), with proven ability to lead diverse teams and foster a high-performance culture.

- Expertise in financial planning, financial modelling, commercial governance, procurement, and risk management.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence technical and operational teams.

- A proactive, results-driven mindset and the ability to navigate change with resilience and clarity.

- Excellent written and communication skills and confidence in presenting to senior executives and boards.
