There’s never been a better time to be in energy. And there’s never been a more exciting time to be at Endeavour Energy.
More than 2.7 million people across New South Wales rely on us every day for the supply of safe and reliable power to their homes and businesses. We employ more than 1,700 people across our catchment, making us one of the largest employers in Sydney’s Greater West.
We need talented people who care about one another and the work they do. Why? Because we’re one of Australia's fastest growing networks, connecting 20,000 new customers each year, including the Western Sydney Aerotropolis. And when we power together, we go further, faster; towards a smarter, more sustainable future for us all.
On offer
Join an organisation where care and performance go hand in hand — care for one another, for our customers, and for the communities we serve.
At Endeavour Energy, you’ll be part of a team that:
- Invests in your growth through training, personal development, and genuine career progression opportunities.
- Empowers you to lead — step up, share your expertise, and make an impact in a rapidly changing energy sector.
- Recognises and rewards your contribution with a supportive culture that values collaboration and innovation.
- Takes pride in purpose — we deliver essential services that keep the lights on today while enabling the energy transition of tomorrow.
About the role
As a Technical Lead – Civil & Structural Design, you’ll provide expert guidance and assurance across Endeavour Energy’s civil and structural engineering activities. You’ll ensure our designs meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance, while driving innovation and value for our customers.
Your work will contribute directly to Endeavour Energy’s strategic goals, including DTG2035 and the broader energy transition.
Key accountabilities
- Provide expert technical leadership and assurance across all civil and structural design deliverables, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards, codes, and governance frameworks.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, promoting practical, safe, and value-engineered design solutions.
- Collaborate across teams and with external consultants to ensure alignment, quality, and constructability in all design outputs.
- Mentor and guide engineers, fostering technical excellence, professional growth, and a culture of learning.
About you
You’re a collaborative and solutions-driven engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality, practical, and technically robust designs. With 7–10 years’ experience in civil or structural engineering, ideally within the electricity, utilities, or infrastructure sectors, you bring a strong foundation in governance, assurance, and design compliance. You’re comfortable influencing others without direct authority, skilled at balancing technical excellence with commercial practicality, and motivated by the opportunity to play a key role in the energy transition.
You’ll also bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, ideally a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation (or working towards it).
- Proven experience applying Australian Standards and engineering codes to complex design projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and value for the customer.
At Endeavour Energy, you’ll enjoy being part of a culture that values care, innovation, and excellence — where your expertise is recognised, and your career can grow.

Applications close – 23 November 2025.
When we power together, we can achieve so much more.
At Endeavour Energy, having a diverse and inclusive workplace makes us better, safer, and stronger. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels safe, motivated, valued, included and respected.
Endeavour Energy is a critical infrastructure organisation and performs various background checks to evaluate the suitability of an applicant before making an employment offer to ensure the security and protection of its assets.
