Overview

TRS Resourcing is recruiting trade-qualified Instrument Gauge Technicians for a 26-week contract in Sunshine West, Melbourne, with a strong potential for permanent placement. The role involves working in a modern, clean workshop on constructing and maintaining commercial fuel tankers and self-bunded fuel equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, calibrate, and test instrumentation and gauges
- Diagnose and troubleshoot instrumentation faults in fuel tankers
- Wire and connect sensors, pressure gauges, and flow meters
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, road transport guidelines, and industry regulations
- Read and interpret workshop/engineering schematics and manuals
- Collaborate with mechanical fitters and electricians to integrate systems

Candidate Requirements

- Trade qualification in a relevant field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a team
- Two referee contacts from past employers
- Based in Melbourne, Victoria
- Full working rights in Australia
- Possession of basic hand tools (specialised tools provided on-site)
