This position assists the Director of Public Prosecutions in the conduct and management of the business of the Criminal Division by providing high level administrative and clerical support to the Director, Crown Counsel and the Supervisor, Business Support.

Period of Appointment

Fixed-term 1 year from appointment.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.

Duties

- Prepare bail application files including requesting and collating relevant information from the Courts and Tasmania Police.
- Process data imported from external systems and conduct quality assurance practices including creating new matters and updating hearing information in the practice management system.
- Reconcile key DPP data sources with the practice management system.
- Compile, file and vet documents such as indictments, subpoenas, Crown Papers and arrange service on defence counsel and defendant.
- Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including data entry, word processing, opening and closing files, binding documents and reception services.
