As a Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of high-performing API solutions that support multiple teams, driving the integration of cutting-edge technologies and ensuring our platforms meet business needs today and are ready for tomorrow. You will oversee the full lifecycle of API solutions, set operational standards, guide and mentor engineering teams, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with cross-functional teams, influence architecture strategy, and ensure our API platform remains a key enabler of business success in a fast-evolving landscape.

What You’ll Do

- Provide technical leadership and hands-on contribution as a team member.
- Lead teams on adoption of best practice and compliance, ensuring high engagement and ongoing knowledge sharing.
- Provide day-to-day insights, guidance and support to engineers across platform and project teams.
- Define and govern architecture strategy, policies, and roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers, resolve technical queries, and foster a collaborative workplace.
- Lead recruitment and career development for engineers.
- Collaborate with leadership to define and track strategy, goals, and OKRs.

What You Bring

- Expertise in software engineering, platform engineering, architecture, and operational excellence.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills in Agile environments.
- Proven ability to drive innovation and adopt emerging technologies.
- Deep knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, data lakes, and data governance.
- Strong understanding of IT risk, security, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer-focused, results-oriented, and a champion for continuous improvement.
