Your Day‑to‑Day Will Involve:
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with local employers
- Proactively identify and create new job opportunities by engaging potential and existing employers
- Discuss workforce solutions, training needs, and government incentives with employers to support sustainable employment
- Record and manage job vacancies accurately for effective matching with people seeking work
- Facilitate regular employer engagement and vacancy sessions to connect people with suitable roles
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employer partners, ensuring their workforce needs are met and addressing any challenges
Desired Skills and Experience
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You’ll be confident, proactive, and business-minded, with a passion for connecting employers to people seeking meaningful work. You may have experience in sales, recruitment, account management, business development, training, or customer service, but what matters most is your ability to build trust, identify opportunities, and create pathways for people.
You’ll bring:
- Relationship‑building skills – connect easily with employers, understand their workforce needs, and create trusted partnerships
- Proactivity and initiative – confident in identifying opportunities, engaging new businesses, and driving employer partnerships
- Commercial awareness – understand the needs of businesses and the local labour market to deliver relevant workforce solutions
- Organisation and time management – manage multiple priorities, meetings, and follow‑ups efficiently
- Communication skills – articulate workforce solutions, advocate for people, and represent MADEC professionally
- Adaptability – thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced regional environment
- Resilience – stay positive and persistent while navigating business challenges
A current driver’s licence is required for local travel and employer engagement.
