Job Description

- Provide strategic financial support to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and joint venture requirements.

- Lead and manage core finance processes including Cash Call payments, billing, month-end accruals, and impairment modelling.

- Maintain and reconcile joint venture accounts, monitor actuals vs budget, and deliver clear variance analysis and insights.

- Represent the company in external joint venture finance meetings and audits, including leading key audits and preparing partner finance statements.

- Contribute to commercial planning and analysis for JV assets, including sensitivity modelling and documentation of key financial assumptions.

- Drive continuous improvement across JV finance operations, including policy updates, process optimisation, and data streamlining initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

- CA/CPA qualified with a tertiary degree in Commerce/Finance/Business.

- Strong experience in joint venture accounting (cash calls, billing statements, reconciliations, audits, partner reporting).

- Technical knowledge of AASB/IFRS standards (including AASB 9 and AASB 136 impairment requirements).

- Strong ERP experience (ideally SAP) and advanced Excel skills.

- Proven ability to build relationships with JV partners, operators, auditors, and internal stakeholders.

- Exposure to impairment models and valuation techniques (DCF, fair value, value in use) is highly desirable.

- Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
