Overview

We are offering an exciting Lead Risk Analyst position in the Credit Risk Collection Strategy team within our Money business unit, which is responsible for leading sustainable growth for Latitude Personal Loans and Motor Loans across Australia and New Zealand.

The key objective of this position is to contribute to the Money business by providing information, statistical analysis and recommendations to support, develop and implement Collection Strategy activities. These activities will be primarily focused on driving profitable growth for the business, while balancing the associated risks. You will monitor key metrics to ensure performance aligns with the company’s risk appetite. Additionally, working closely with the Head of Credit Risk, your role will involve identifying opportunities and influencing key decision-makers to support your recommendations.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

- Acting as a key contributor within the Money Credit Risk team, ensuring high-quality, comprehensive, and actionable insights that support business goals.
- Undertake analysis and monitoring to determine the impact of portfolio strategy changes in the areas of collection strategy and debt recovery for our Personal Loans and Motor Loans portfolio, identifying potential strategy improvements to help drive profitable growth.
- Provide regular portfolio analysis and reviews on key risk metrics to assess Portfolio performance vs. business targets.
- Identify emerging trends and communicate insights clearly and effectively to the business.
- Provide input into systems implementation of collection strategy changes, including reviewing detailed business requirements and test cases, ensuring credit risk strategies are implemented according to risk requirements.
- Foster strong collaboration with Collection Operations and Hardship teams, supporting key collection projects via analytics, business case input, and execution of credit risk strategy changes.
- In the event of operational risk events, take ownership and drive cross-functional collaboration to close out issues promptly.
- Assist with scorecard/model development, implementation, testing and monitoring.
- Perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time

Skills & Experience

- Experience in Credit Risk Management with the ability to drive results.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Technical proficiency in tools such as Excel or Power BI, and in coding with SAS or SQL to extract, analyse, and make recommendations based on data insights.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with excellent attention to detail to sense check the accuracy of the data collected through analytics and demonstrate commercial acumen in the interpretation of data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with proven capability to articulate and present complex ideas
- Strong focus on maintaining accuracy while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems, and propose creative solutions that address business needs.
- A strong alignment with Latitude’s values and behaviours, demonstrating integrity and commitment to excellence.
