We are establishing our Regional and Metropolitan Community Services in the Western Metropolitan region. This multidisciplinary role (RPN4, SW3, OT3, P3) is Full‑Time Fixed‑Term until 14 October 2026.
A career in the forensic mental health sector
A career at Forensicare will be like no other. If you’re passionate about supporting people in their mental health recovery, Forensicare is where you need to be. You will be part of a caring and supportive team, making a real difference to people living with the dual stigma of mental illness and offending. We approach our work with curiosity and a commitment to understanding the unique needs of our consumers and carers. Together, we can contribute to a more connected, compassionate mental health and criminal justice system.
Join the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) team
We are expanding services across Regional and Metropolitan Victoria and launching a new site in the Western metropolitan region. CFMHS is a specialist state‑wide agency that works with individuals who have a serious mental health illness and have offended or are at risk of offending.

- Contribute to consumer risk management plans in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team;
- Provide case management on a shared care basis with AMHWS, and support Forensicare’s Community Transition and Treatment Program in the case management of consumers on extended care from Thomas Embling Hospital;
- Provide supervision of consumers under a Non‑Custodial Order disposition under the Crimes (Mental Impairment and Unfitness to be Tried) Act 1997;
- Support people transitioning from prisons to the region.

- Demonstrated minimum 5‑year post registration mental health experience;
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments and to plan, implement and evaluate clinical interventions;
