What does the job look like?

Linfox's Intermodal business unit has an opportunity for an experienced HC Driver to join their team based in Mackay, QLD. You will be responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight from our major customers both locally & regionally. This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday through to Friday on day shift from 5:00am - 1:00pm + rotating overtime available on Saturdays between 5:00am - 1:00pm.

Key areas:

- Deliver freight both locally and throughout the region
- Daily pre-start checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior
- Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
- Completing hand unloads
- Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed
- Comply with Linfox's coupling & uncoupling procedures
- Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus

- Valid HC licence
- Forklift license - preferred but not essential
- Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Mackay region and beyond
- Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction
- History of safe work practices & excellent communication
- Rail experience highly regarded but not essential
