What does the job look like?

HC Driver responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight for major customers locally and regionally. Shift: Monday–Friday, day shift 5:00am–1:00pm; rotating overtime on Saturdays 5:00am–1:00pm.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver freight both locally and throughout the region
  • Daily pre-start checks, including refuelling and maintaining truck interior
  • Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
  • Completing hand unloads
  • Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors and customers where needed
  • Comply with Linfox's coupling and uncoupling procedures
  • Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus

  • Valid HC licence
  • Forklift licence - preferred but not essential
  • Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Mackay region and beyond
  • Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction
  • History of safe work practices and excellent communication
  • Rail experience highly regarded but not essential
