We are seeking talented Specialist Anaesthetists for various roles based in the Melbourne outer metro area and Regional Victoria.

The Consultant Director of Anaesthetics Hamilton position is based at the campus of this hospital.

Full-time or Part-time considered.

This full-time Specialist position primarily focuses on clinical services, with opportunities to engage in academic and teaching activities in collaboration with Deakin University. The university's Medical School has a Rural Clinical School based in the town.

The hospital is a fully integrated facility with 282 beds (216 acute, 36 aged care, 30 mental health). Warrnambool Campus (212 beds) provides acute, rehabilitation, and mental health care, along with outpatient and community services. Wards include medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, a six-bed critical care unit, dialysis, emergency, inpatient psychiatry, GEM, and rehabilitation. There are three fully equipped operating theatres and a separate endoscopy suite. The hospital is considered one of the most modern and technologically advanced health services in regional Australia.

The position will be predominantly clinical, with some management responsibilities.

Reporting to the Clinical Unit Head, the Staff Specialist will provide anaesthesia services, excluding cardiac, neurosurgery, and transplant surgery. The department is accredited by ANZCA and offers training for up to 24 months.
