ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Science and Mathematics to join our secondary school program.

As a Full time Teacher you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and a willingness to differentiate curriculum to adapt to the needs of the students.

As the classroom Teacher you will be responsible for the delivery of a holistic education including;

- Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices
- Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs;
- Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community;
- Ensuring that the values and Christian ethos of the School are upheld.

Desired Skills and Experience

AB OUT YOU:

You will have qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:

- Experience teaching Science and Mathematics in middle years classes (Years 7–10), as well as Senior Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Senior Mathematics
- Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement
- Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science and Australian Curriculum: Mathematics
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School
