Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co‑educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2025.

Our Learning Support Department plays a pivotal role in ensuring every student can access and participate in education alongside their peers. We collaborate closely with teachers, allied health professionals, parents, and students to create tailored supports that foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
We are currently seeking a part‑time (FTE 0.6) qualified teacher for the role of Learning Support Coordinator (Primary) to join our team, commencing in January 2026. The ideal candidate will combine this role with a part‑time teaching load within the Learning Support department. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to ensuring every student can thrive in their educational journey.
As a Learning Support Coordinator, you are someone who embodies compassion, patience, and creativity, and who is organised and flexible. These are integral to ensure success in your role as you advocate for students who require additional support to facilitate their active participation in school, support teachers and Learning Support staff, and help families feel heard and connected to their child’s education. Your support will make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and their families.
The successful applicant must:
- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting students with disabilities
- Be able to implement strategies and supports to help students succeed and feel included
- Be able to collaborate with teachers, students, and other learning support staff
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.
