Overview

Join St Eugene's OSHC in Burpengary Casual Educators needed for after-school care. Help kids grow in a fun, caring environment. Located within St Eugene’s College, our program offers before school, after school, and vacation care for up to 135 children from prep to Year 6. Casual shifts are available, with a focus on after-school care on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you’re energetic, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children’s development in a fun, collaborative setting, we’d love to have you join our dedicated team

A day in the life of an OSHC Educator includes providing nurturing care for children, creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment, planning fun and inclusive activities, building positive relationships with team members, collaborating with the team to support outcomes for children and families, and opportunities to join excursions during vacation care.

Responsibilities

- Providing nurturing care for children
- Creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment
- Planning fun, inclusive recreational and educational activities
- Building positive relationships with team members
- Collaborating with the team to support the best outcomes for children and families
- Enjoying the chance to join exciting excursions during vacation care
- Motivating and inspiring children through meaningful interactions

Job Requirements

- Certificate III or Diploma in Children Services (or working towards)
- Previous childcare experience would be beneficial
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- A passion for the education and care of school-aged children in a play-based environment
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, Early Years Learning Framework or National Law/Regulations, or ability to acquire
- Effective oral and written communication within the workplace
