Overview

A highly regarded major Civil Contractor is currently looking for a Project Manager and Project Engineer to join an established business, giving you the experience of managing your own work on civil projects.

Our client is seeking the expertise and skills of a Project Manager and Project Engineer to work on roads, subdivision, earthworks and civil projects in the Canberra / ACT area on major civil projects there.

This ongoing work will keep you employed in Canberra / ACT.

This Civil Contractor is an established Civil Engineering Contractor, employing people in the ACT region with millions of dollars worth of ongoing projects. With a strong focus on civil engineering, our client maintains its diversity through its involvement in other projects such as roads, dam and bridge works, water projects, and earthworks.

Our client is looking for people with previous roads, subdivisions, earthworks, bridgework, and complex civil infrastructure experience, working on projects with an emphasis on complex civil works. This is a rare opportunity not to be missed. The company will offer you secure work, with guaranteed further employment with the client.

Not only will you be joining an award-winning contractor but you will also form part of a talented, professional team of individuals. This exciting opportunity would ideally suit an engineer who has had previous exposure to general infrastructure works including earthworks, subdivisions, roads, rail, and water projects.

Responsibilities

To be considered for this role it is vital that you have the following skills:

- A Bachelor in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Worked on civil projects worth over $2m in value
- Previously worked on major earthworks and water projects or heavy civil projects
- Strong leadership skills
- High level of organisation
- Be able to work and communicate as part of a team
- Exceptional understanding of OH&S policies
- Ability to think and react quickly to any difficulties which may arise in the workplace
