Overview

Bacchus Marsh Grammar is seeking expressions of interest from experienced and knowledgeable Senior Specialist Commerce Teachers who are committed to joining a high-performing academic team. We are looking for educators with a strong understanding of the VCE curriculum and assessment requirements in Accounting, Economics, and Business Management, and who are motivated by the challenge of contributing to outstanding academic outcomes for students. At Bacchus Marsh Grammar, staff work in a collegial environment where professional dialogue, the sharing of expertise, and a collective drive for improvement underpin the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.

The preferred candidate will be provided a VCE allotment in specialist Commerce subjects based on their area of expertise. This includes Accounting, Economics, and Business Management from Units 1 to 4. This position represents an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the School’s tradition of academic success while being supported by a collaborative and ambitious team.

Salary

An attractive Senior Teacher (Leading Teacher) salary is on offer for the preferred applicant. Refer to the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Enterprise Agreement 2022 for further information.

Key Selection Criteria

- Appropriate teaching qualifications, with VIT registration or eligibility for registration in Victoria;
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Secondary Commerce Teacher;
- Proven experience teaching Accounting, Economics, and Business Management in Units 1 to 4;
- A demonstrated understanding of how student achievement is maximised in the VCE environment; and
- Evidence of working effectively in a collaborative, high-performing team.
