About The Role

Based at our Vickery Operations on a 9 Day Fortnight, the Maintenance Planner ensures that preventative maintenance master data is maintained and all corrective maintenance activities for the planner specific area (work group) are appropriately planned (resources, parts, equipment, tooling) so that the work progresses on weekly schedule in a safe, efficient and repeatable manner.

The successful applicant for the position will either reside in the Gunnedah region or be willing to relocate. Relocation Packages and Temporary Camp Accommodation available.

What You’ll Do

- Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance, major overhauls & shut down maintenance work for respective work group.

- Create and maintain work orders and requisitions (materials and services) in CMMS. Confirm that parts and labour are available prior to releasing work orders to qualify job as “planned”.

- Order parts/services, obtain quotes, create specifications as required to ensure quality assurance, and allow for future warranty considerations. Liaise with Supply to expedite external parts and contractor labour suppliers, where necessary.

- Comply with the Health and Safety Management System and Plans, legislative requirements, and safety instructions and directions, contributing to the company goal of “zero harm”.

- Be committed to your own self-development by accepting coaching from leaders and peers, attending relevant training and seeking to improve work-relevant knowledge and participating in regular performance reviews

What You’ll Bring

- Tertiary Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate (desirable).

- Mining or heavy industry or processing plant experience with strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling and CMMS.

- Planning experience in a maintenance environment, preferably in mining industry (desirable)

- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation with excellent presentation and reporting skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word.
