Overview

ConsultANZ is seeking a Planner in Sydney for a top-tier civil engineering company to manage their workload.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6, Candy CCS, or similar tools, ensuring timelines are realistic and achievable.

- Create and update master schedules, baselines, and work programs in line with project requirements and milestones.

- Monitor project progress, identifying delays, critical paths, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to meet project goals.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.

- Prepare regular progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts to track schedule performance and highlight key issues.

- Analyze resource requirements, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency.

- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, integrating their schedules into the master program.

- Support tender submissions by providing planning and scheduling input, including program development and methodologies.

- Conduct "what-if" scenario planning to evaluate potential impacts of changes in project scope or delays.

- Ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements, maintaining accurate scheduling documentation.

Requirements

- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or similar.

- Demonstrated engineering experience delivering technically challenging projects in civils, road, tunnel construction or maintenance experience ideally.

- Proficient using Primavera P6 or Candy CCS with the ability to schedule and programme projects and create master schedules, baselines, reporting etc.

- A willingness and competency to perform as part of a tight-knit & high performing team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple schedules and address project risks.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective liaison with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams.

- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of project schedules and data.
