We are seeking a skilled and experienced and passionate Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes, maintain kitchen operations, and contribute to menu innovation.

Responsibilities

- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with Rafiki menu and standards, maintain consistency in presentation and flavour while upholding creativity in culinary.

- Menu Development: Assist in developing innovative menu items, ensuring alignment with Rafiki brand and customer expectations. Incorporate seasonal and locally sourced ingredients into dishes. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and organised kitchen. Assist in monitoring stock levels and preparing ingredient orders as needed.

- Training and Skill Development: Collaborate with the head chef and team members to refine techniques and explore modern cooking trends. Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Support team members in ensuring seamless kitchen operations during service hours.

Qualifications

- At least AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma is required plus 1 year full-time work experience.

- Or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
