A highly respected mid tier firm is seeking both a junior (1-3 years PAE) and a senior (5+ years PAE) lawyer to join its established and growing Employment & Workplace Relations team.
This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of employment law matters with a highly regarded group of lawyers, in an environment that balances meaningful, complex work with a supportive and collaborative culture.
The Opportunity
You'll be part of a close-knit team working with a range of clients. The role includes both advisory and litigious work, with opportunities to build strong client relationships and develop your technical expertise.
You will be involved in:
- Advising on employment contracts, workplace policies and compliance
- Managing unfair dismissal and general protections claims
- Advising on enterprise bargaining, industrial action and industrial relations strategy
- Handling workplace investigations and disciplinary matters
- Assisting with discrimination, bullying and harassment claims
- Representing clients in the Fair Work Commission and other tribunals
- Delivering training and workplace seminars for clients
Junior Lawyer (1-3 PAE)
- Experience in employment or workplace relations law
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn from senior practitioners
Senior Lawyer (5+ PAE)
- Broad employment law experience, ideally including both advisory and litigious matters
- Comfortable managing files and client relationships with minimal supervision
- Interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development
